Cookie policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Base Camp uses a few necessary cookies to work and, only with your consent, statistics cookies from Google Analytics. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also count similar technologies, such as local storage, as cookies in this policy.
The cookies we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| bc-theme (local storage) | Base Camp | Remembers light or dark mode, and which checklist items you ticked in a guide (bc-check-*) | Necessary | Until you clear it |
| cmplz_* | Base Camp (Complianz) | Stores your cookie choices | Necessary | 365 days |
| __cf_bm, cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Tells people from bots and protects the site from attacks | Necessary | 30 minutes to 1 year |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits apart to count visitors | Statistics | 2 years |
| _ga_[ID] | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current session | Statistics | 2 years |
Necessary cookies do not need consent because the site cannot work securely without them. Statistics cookies are only set after you click Accept.
Change your choice
Click Cookie settings in the footer at any time to change or withdraw your consent. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
