The short version

  • Hyperliquid team wallets received 179,706 HYPE, about $14.3 million, from HyperLabs on Friday, two days after the coins left staking.
  • None of it has reached an exchange: 145,926 HYPE was bridged to HyperEVM and sits untouched, and the other 33,778 HYPE is still on Hyperliquid.
  • It is a routine monthly payout, under 2% of the 9.92 million HYPE core-contributor unlock and less than four days of Hyperliquid’s buybacks.
  • Next: whether HYPE holds $76.21; a daily close under it opens the late-October lows near $74.43.

179,706 HYPE left HyperLabs, the company that builds Hyperliquid, on Friday afternoon and landed in six Hyperliquid team wallets. At the time of writing that is about $14.3 million. So where did it go next? We followed every coin onchain, and so far not one has reached an exchange.

OnchainLens spotted the payout overnight:

PAYDAY FOR HYPERLIQUID TEAM: $14.49M IN HYPE DISTRIBUTED

HyperLabs, distributed 179,706 $HYPE (~$14.49M) to six team members' wallets 11 hours ago.

The tokens were unstaked 2 days ago.

Where Did the Hyperliquid Team’s HYPE Go?

The coins came out of staking first. The HyperLabs wallet started the unstake on October 28, it cleared on November 4 after the seven-day wait, and between 14:23 and 14:26 UTC on Friday it sent the 179,706 HYPE out in six transfers. Each wallet got a 1 HYPE test payment about 13 minutes earlier, the sign of someone being careful, not in a hurry.

What the six wallets did next, checked on Hyperliquid and its HyperEVM chain:

  • Three wallets (12,594, 50,000 and 50,000 HYPE) bridged their coins to HyperEVM within 20 minutes. They are still sitting there, and none of the three has made a single transaction since.
  • One wallet passed its 33,332 HYPE to a fresh address, which also bridged it to HyperEVM. Untouched too.
  • Two wallets kept theirs on Hyperliquid: 33,024 HYPE and 754 HYPE, still in spot balances.

The only sales were about 0.3 HYPE, a few dollars of USDC for fees. No deposit to Binance, OKX, Bybit or any desk. HyperEVM puts coins closer to DeFi apps, so a sale later isn’t ruled out. It just isn’t one yet.

That is a different picture from the a16z wallet earlier this week, which sent its HYPE to five exchanges in a day.

Is This the Big Team Unlock?

No. This is a monthly payday, and a small one. Hyperliquid’s Assistance Fund, which buys HYPE with the exchange’s fees, bought 340,803 HYPE ($28.6 million) over the past seven days. Friday’s whole payout is less than four days of that buying, and OnchainLens counted another 21,040 HYPE bought and burned in the 24 hours to late Friday:

HYPERLIQUID BURNS $1.64M IN HYPE IN 24 HOURS

21.04K $HYPE was bought and burned at an average price of $77.93.

The same HyperLabs wallet has paid Hyperliquid team wallets almost every month since late November 2025, mostly between 140,000 and 534,000 HYPE a time. January (1.1 million) and October (3.75 million) were the big ones.

This one landed on November 6, the day of the scheduled HYPE unlock of 9.92 million coins for core contributors. Friday’s payout is under 2% of that. The wallet still has 238.1 million HYPE staked, so there is plenty more to come, released slowly.

The chain of cause and effect is short: small, regular payouts into wallets that hold mean little new supply on the order book.

HYPE Price: The Level That Matters

The HYPE price is at $79.52 at the time of writing, up 2% on the day, but still under its 50-day moving average at $85.35. Thursday’s drop found buyers at $76.21, and that is the area to watch. A daily close under it would put the late-October lows near $74.43 back in play.

On the way up, $84.85 was Thursday’s high, and the 50-day sits just above it. A close over both would say the market has shrugged off this week’s supply.

A word of caution: wallets can move at any hour, and “hasn’t sold” only holds until the next block. If those 179,706 HYPE start heading to exchange deposit addresses, it will show onchain first. HyperLabs’ next monthly payout, going by the pattern, is due in early December.
